Add commit to telemetry

Sometimes an unexpected commit is executed from code, and when subsequently an error occurs data can be wrong.


These situations are hard to investigate without debugging.


It would be nice to have a telemetry option available that logs every commit from code including stack trace at the moment the commit is issued .

All commits or just the ones where the code actually calls commit()?

To make it less verbose: Only emit commits when additional logging is enabled.
