When issuing a gift card on the POS terminal the store user can input any value, without validation.

This can result in strange characters erroneous data making it's way into the Gift card table, causing down stream issues of processing transactions against that gift card.

Validation parameters should be held in d365 that restrict the data that can be added to the gift card table from POS. Examples of validation should be similar to password and info code validation:

Min length

Max Length

Special characters allowed (Including spaces)

Either that, or a template that is validated against at point of entry
