I hope that you release a 64bit CRM 4.0 Outlook 2010 client. I want to move to Windows 7 64bit.

I cannot do this without the 64bit client.

This is a duplicate and we already have 64 bit version of our client - at least since CRM 2011. Thanks for your feedback.

I don't see this as something you should be considering, this should have been something that was previously planned. Office 2010 and Win 7 64-bit was not a surprise. Why is the Outlook client not already set to go? Get it done. We're ready to move to Win 7 and Office 2010, this is the hold-up. Thanks!

This is an issue for MS Partner Integrators as well. We have dozens of customers upgrading the the latest and greatest from Microsoft. They all insist on leveraging the 64-bit hardware and software applications including Office 2010, irregardless whether it's "needed" or not. In a lot of ways they are right! We have Windows-64, SharePoint-64, SQL-64, and Office-64; 64, 64, 64...what are customers suppose to think? Microsoft is pushing the envelope (as always), which is a good thing! But they are losing upgrades, at least from our customers, who insist on Outlook Integration with CRM. If you think about it, it makes sence...try finding a 32-bit computer or application these days and you'll be pretty hard pressed.

This is super important for us developers. Our IT department told us a bunch of techy stuff and said we can't go to Office 2010 and Windows 7 untill we get a solution to our CRM 4 Outlook 2010 problem. I'm tired of XP! (great product but I want windows 7)

I find it quite annoying that you are only "considering" support 64bit. CRM. How long do we have to wait for 64bit business critial applications to be written. You have been pushing 64bit to all third part vendors, why do you follow suit? To upgade to a 64bit OS and then put a 32bit business critical application, when there is a 64bit version, is ludicrous. Do you really think that I want to install a 32bit application on hundreds of machines and then later have to upgrade the to 64bit when you finally develope the 64bit client. My bosses have been looking at whether they want to replace CRM, this is a compelling reason.

Sometimes i feel Microsoft products are like a disoriented family members, windows is going for 64 and 128 bits run where CRM and others keep putting us back to 32 bit. Its a real problem for us the CRM Business consultant to make end users or clients understand these bits story and then say oh Sorry it wont work , undo ur office 2010 64 bit and redo on 32 bit.. All products are ok but for Outlook Dependant its like a nightmare and they simply say go away. A humble request and a serious advice , start giving compatibility to 64x based applications. Do not assume end users will use 32bit in all senarios.

Do you really need 64bit Office ?? Microsoft themselves say it is only of signifcant benefit it you need large Excel spreadsheets. If you are really persistent install 32bit Outlook and 64bit everything else. - Get over it.

Thanks for your suggestion. One of the reasons behind not being able to support 64 bit was that SQL Express 2005 did not support 64 bit at the time of release. We are strongly considering support for 64 bit Outlook in our next release. In the meantime, we do support running 32 bit Office on 64 bit Windows in WOW mode.
