Presently, when cashiers have to manually apply a line or total discount in a transaction, there is no context given to the application of the discount when printed on the receipt or sent in the backend report. It will be very useful to allow the creation and display of a pre-defined list of line and total discounts with short descriptions on the frontend POS where cashiers can make informed decisions to apply these pre defined discounts during a transaction. These pre-defined discounts with short descriptions must appear on the receipt so customers are aware of the discounts implemented. This feature is presently available in other POS solutions and has proven very useful. I urge Microsoft to look into this.

What is required is the addition of information field during the set up that will allow the capture of discount codes when these transactions are performed on the mPOS.
This is currently missing and the set up of the info codes on the mPOS is meaningless without sending information of the discount triggered.

Did you try setting up the info codes for the Line discounts because those can be printed on the receipts. Additionally, you can create buttons on the transaction grid and add labels to them as "10% - cust satifaction" etc.
