Wish there is an option to easily convert customer sales order shipments into multiple purchase orders and/or vice versa. for purpose to save time from data entry on drop shipments.

There are more ways to create drop shipments or direct deliveries from a sales order without having to key in the same information twice. Have a look here Direct deliveries - Supply Chain Management | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Docs. This highlights in general direct delivery, however direct delivery can be created from an individual sales order line using the sourcing options, can be created for the sales order per se, but also deferred until post sales order entry. Please try it out and see if your fits your business needs.
