I understand that users can delete their own Draft status expense reports but there needs to be an option for the system administrator to do that for others users' reports as well. We have some old rejected expense reports for employees no longer with the company but no way of cleaning them up - even after changing them to Draft status, there is no way to delete them (that I'm aware of).

Can the Delete option be added to the All Expense Reports grid to facilitate this? (Expense management > Process expense reports > All expense reports)

I would suggest to add a privilege's to the suggested functionality so its possible to create or add the task to delete expense reports a role.

There is a way for a system administrator to delete other users' expense reports. As an admin:


  1. Go to Expense management > Setup > General > Delegates
  2. Make your user a delegate of the employee
  3. Go to Expense management > My expenses > Expense reports
  4. In the menu bar, select "Open other user's expenses" to switch to the records for the other user
  5. You can now delete the expense report
  6. Note: you will want to do steps 3-5 for "Expenses" as well

Who in their right mind, would create a system where the adminstrators can not delete old crap generated by stupid users?

This is absolutely basic functionality missing!

By the way, thank you for the new "Reset expense document status" function as that allowed me to remove them from the Pending workflow history status list (although I'm not sure why rejected workflow items were in Pending status to begin with as I thought that rejection would end the workflow).
