Customers electing to use the new D365 Outlook App (over the older Dynamics CRM Full Outlook Client) should also be able to take advantage of the DCRM Export to Excel options:

- Dynamic Worksheet &

- Dynamic Pivot.

Currently customers must use the Dynamics CRM Full Outlook Client to take advantage of the Export to Excel Dynamic Worksheet & Dynamic Pivot options (the data will not refresh in the exported XLS without the old Outlook Desktop Client installed).

Our company needs a secure way to move data out of CRM, into Excel such that the data stays current with actions taken in CRM (Dynamic Worksheet would have been perfect).  The solution also calls for enforcing security policies on the XLS (users who can view the data and actions they can take with the XLS - something available within Excel).

A final call-out here is that Excel Online cannot be used in this situation.  Web Queries (refreshing Dynamic Worksheets exported from DCRM) can only be accomplished with Excel desktop - not with Excel Online).

Greater future parity between desktop and O365 versions of MS Productivity solutions like Excel is needed.  Not allowing a "cloud" version of Excel to make a web query to a cloud DCRM solution is challenging (and hard to explain to executives).
