In multiple projects clients have needed the default release to warehouse parameter for "Requirement for material reservation" to be

"Require full reservation", however for a small subset of items they do not want this parameter due to the nature of the business process for those items. Currently the work-around is for them to manually update this parameter on the individual production order. When the business knows that they will always need to change the parameter for certain items, it would be helpful to be able to have that parameter set on the item so that it could pull through to the production order automatically similar to other item specific fields on the production order.

In some circumstances it may be that the items requiring the non-default parameter are all similar and might share an item model group (similar to the production material reservation parameter). An override at the item model group level could also be useful.
