In many industries (retail, manufacturing, agriculture), item variants (such as size, color, or grade) are critical for daily operations and decision-making.

However, standard reports in Dynamics 365 Business Central do not consistently support reporting at the item variant level. Users often need to export data or build custom reports to analyze inventory and transactions by variant.

Adding native support for item variant dimensions in standard reports (inventory, sales, and valuation) would significantly improve usability and reduce the need for customization.
