BC now includes the capability to merge duplicate Customer, Vendor, or Contact records. Other ideas here request that same functionality for G/L Account and Item records. I'd like to request the merge capability of Service Items.


Over time duplicate Service Items are created by different users and/or processes. Users then post Service documents to one or the other Service Items resulting the the true Service history being split between two, or more, Service Items. A standard merge functionality that operates similar to the existing BC Merge functionality would be helpful.

Currently having to deal with users creating multiple service items for the same serial number. Please add this function. Salesforce.com has had this feature for years.
