This is for Dynamics Business Central -

The new 1099 Process/Module in Business Central is Clunky and has Bugs. When will these be fixed?

Issues:

1. The new process of assigning the IRS 1099 code in a different list is clunky. It was better assigned on the vendor card.
2. The new 1099 process is buggy and still has issues... when will the bugs be addressed?
3. Bugs like:

The OLD 1099 process did it better - the system is supposed to pull the invoices PAID in an accounting year... but the new process does not pull invoices created in 2024 and paid in 2025... it is not pulling these invoices and credit memo's PAID in 2025... missing the created in 2024. It used to do this correctly.

Another Issue:

1. The old process provided the 1099 data in an excel format with vendor info/address/fed id, IRS code, amount, and our company info address, fed id, etc... - Are we getting this excel export back??? This is a huge inconvenience to not have these reports.
2. Many customers export the data and send to a third party... without this export it makes the 1099's very painful.
3. When you have hundreds/thousands of vendors this is a huge pain.

Other bugs:

1. There are issues with the numbering and creation of the 1099's - this is still a bug and needs to be fixed.
2. If you delete the 1099's and try to run them again.. there are bugs.
3. And even on 'replace' there are bugs when creating 1099's. Errors.
4. The new 1099 B form... the vendor address no longer fits in a #10 envelope window.. we used to be able to print and fold and mail the 1099... now we have to create labels to mail the 1099's out if the vendor does not want to receive it via email.
5. And some clients have thousands of 1099 vendors. This is a huge inconvenience.
6. The old format fit the vendor name, address in a #10 envelope window....this is not an improved feature.

And lastly:

I have yet to see a single client "Transmit" the 1099's to the IRS website (IRIS). We need clear instructions on how to set this up.. and test.

The new 1099's were not well thought out.
