We have multiple customers who would like to add human labor into production orders as time and cost, separately from machine costs, and add resources to production orders similarly to how it is done in assembly orders. Or not necessarily the same, but something similar.

Example: We have one machine that runs for 60 minutes. Sometimes it is operated by one person, and sometimes by two persons. The machine center cost assumes that it is run by one person, so the cost includes the machine cost plus one person's cost. However, in cases where two persons run the machine, if we post the time double, the cost is too high. If we post it only once, the cost is too low. Currently, we have to create another machine or cost center for the "extra" labor that we manually add to the production order to accumulate actual human labor costs when the number of personnel changes from one order to another. Or we have to create routing with twice the steps so we can have machine and labor posted separately from the start. It would be simpler if we could consume resources in production similarly to assembly. That way we could also track actual individual persons time if we'd like.
