Your SQL database is fast. But as this is a SQL with relations and implies a lot of stupid forms and tables.
Search is non usable. No way to return data from emails.
Search is very slow.
Now using IE11 and CRM2013 or CRM2011 is a pain. Incredible !
What to say.... this software has been designed by accountants with no clue about what sales people can do.

My suggestion: rewrite everything and quickly. As you have plenty of cash, this is maybe not critical but without any change, we will spread day after day the idea that Microsoft is a dead company.
