When a customer has more loyalty points/dollars than the transaction total, the amount should round down to the total of the transaction to not get an error of overtender.

Thank you for reaching out. The standard product always defaults the 'Payment amount' to the 'Amount due' irrespective of the balance available in loyalty. So in case the loyalty balance is more that the amount due, then you should never see the over tender problem. I am guessing it might be resulting due to some rounding issue, but would need more details.
