In our company, employees have Sick and Vacation accrual benefits. Regarding the Sick benefit accrual, an employee can accrue a maximum of 240 hours through the years. The amount accrued for a year is carried forward to the next year with a maximum of 240 hours.

When D365 evaluate if the Maximum accrual limit is reached, the system is taking into consideration only the amount in the Plan year accrued field. As a result, the system is allowing employees to accrue more than 240 hours. Every month we need to make manual adjustments to eliminate hours in excess of the 240 limit. The system should take into consideration the Carry forward value, the Plan year accrued value, and any Sick time registered in current pay statement to determine if the period accrual should take place.
