On the new Unified Interface, the global search results show very much in a similar way than on the legacy web interface. If some field content is longer than what can be shown on the screen, it is shortened on both interfaces.
(As default, the first field is usually the occurrence name but it can be configured to something else.)
In the legacy interface, however, the full content of the first field is shown as a tooltip. This has been a wonderful feature for users if they need to tell multiple, similar results from each other. On the new UI, the user must open each occurrence to get to know the full name for example.
