Issue:
- The email templates that you create in Dynamics CRM do not retain the font and style of the text when you use the Dynamics 365 add-on to insert CRM
- Example: You have a 12 pt Times New Roman Template – it will come in as a 11pt Calibri (Body)
- You cannot insert hyperlinks in the templates.
- I would really like to see more options, such as “insert hyperlink”, so that emails from Dynamics CRM look like you sent them directly from your inbox and they do not look like a template
- Template data pull – Right now, when you create a Global Template, you cannot pull from all of the Dynamics entities (and customized entities) that you have in your system. You are only able to pull “User” data from the Add/Insert Section.
- I would like to be able to pull from the Account, Client, Candidate, and Job entity databases to make the templates look like real emails and not templates
- Template Signatures – There is no way to add the current user’s signature to the bottom of the templates without selecting it individually. If you select 4 Contacts and select the template, it is sent without a signature at all. This looks terrible!
- Example: we create templates so that the entire organization can use the same templates. Other CRMs allow you to select a box that says “insert current user’s signature” in the template, so that it looks clean to the recipient. This would solve that problem!
- Contact Email – when you go into an individual Contact’s record and try to send an email, an error message shows up, telling you to return to the Home Page
- Opportunities/Leads – when you add a new Opportunity or lead, select the Account and Contact, it doesn’t not register the Opportunity/Lead under that Account or Contact Page. Since it is all linked, this information should be the same across the board
- When you send an email tracked in Dynamics 365 (or an appointment or a note) to an Opportunity/Lead and a specific Contact is selected, the email should be documented under the Account and Contact page as well as the Opportunity/Lead.
- Likewise, all Contact communication/notes should be documented as emails under the Account page, so that you can see who is contacted and when they were contacted.
Impact: Lack of functionality.
Business loss.
