There are scenarios where software implementation cost is recorded as a Fixed Asset and record cost to a specific FA card via multiple purchase invoices in different posting dates (based on implementation phases). It it better BC allows calculate depreciation from initial purchase date even after subsidiary cost is posted.

For an example, if initial cost is posted on 01st June 2022 and subsequent cost is posted on 01st July 2022, BC calculates depreciation via process only if the depreciation posting date is on or after subsequent purchase date (01 July 2022). It is better BC calculates depreciation for the month ended 30th June 2022 via standard process even after subsequent purchase invoice is posted. Because there are possibilities where user records subsequent purchase invoice before calculating depreciation for the previous month.
