Our Employees use the inbuilt e-mail editor to send mails like order confirmations, invoices, quotes and similiar.

If they decide not to send the mail and close the Page (Page 13 "Email Editor") they are prompted to either save as draft or discard the Mail.


The Problem is, the prompt is pre-selected on draft and employees are just hiting enter without bothering to delete the drafts at all. There is no built in data cleanup for the email outbox and its related tables like attachements and messages.


Those drafts accumulate over time. Maybe im missing something but there is no practical way to cleanup the data from manual outboxes besides creating a programm for it or via database (luckily we are on-premise and got access to our data).


However even for the SAAS version this might become an issue as attachements can get quite big and accumulate. As a reference we are getting about 50-100 mails including pdf attachements into the draft database per day.


The Idea:

create a setting to either disable the saving of drafts or to change the pre-selection to discard.

This feature should recognize and differentiate if the mail is opened for the first time or if the mail is opened from the list of outboxes
