A validation of mandatory inventory dimensions on the original sales order is required, before creating the direct delivery, as otherwise the intercompany sales order cannot be delivered.

Scenario: Intercompany item is enabled for advanced warehouse management in USMF and USRT companies (mandatory site, warehouse and location inventory dimensions). The sales order in USRT is created without warehouse and location fields, and these are both required according to dimension groups. Before creating the direct delivery, it would be expected that a validation runs to check if all mandatory dimensions are filled in on the sales order lines.

Without this validation, the intercompany sales order is created. This can be picked, but it cannot be delivered, as AX will show following error message:

"Inventory dimension Warehouse is a primary input/output dimension and must be consequently specified.

Inventory dimension Location must be specified.

Inventory dimension Serial number must be specified".

To work around this issue, the quantity must be unpicked, picking must be canceled, the original sales order line deleted and then the user must re-create the original sales line, specifying all mandatory inventory dimensions and create a new direct delivery.
