Is should be possible to generate a XSD file for a standard Data Entity.
I need this on a D365O project using standard entities and the XML is just fine, but the XSD is needed for the external system.

I work now on a project where a partner created this tooling already but ideally this should be in the standard. (works with composite entity too, so if you are going to support it please don't forget the composite entities :).
I can forward the partner name/solution in a PM if needed.

I agree. XSD for XML files are fundamental for integrations with XML. AX2012 could retrieve this, why not D365FO. This should be a fundamental ability.

Anyone that have any ideas when this will be implemented? XSD schemas build in Visual Studio based on XML files exported from data management doesn't meet the requirements as documentation of our integration interface.
It is also important that the function support any entity including customized composite entities.

This would be good to have on all data projects that have XML Element or XML Attribute type data formats used with entities. We have to deliver XSDs to 3rd parties creating integrations with our customer's systems and it does not make any sense to create XSDs by hand.
