(Background: In the 4.0 Client, we taught users to drag their most commonly used areas of CRM into the Outlook 'Favorites' folder. I understand the reason we lost this in the 2011 client is due to a bug in Outlook that doesn’t look like it’ll be resolved in Office 2010.- This is a suggestion to provide an alternative.)

Allow the user to designate n number of entities as 'favorites' - either in their outlook option or using drag-and-drop to drag entities into a favorites area. -

Display these 'favorites' in the Outlook Client's sitemap under the organization name just above the current 'workplace' in the list of 'areas' - The favorites would be displayed at the same level in the hierarchy as the existing sitemap areas to avoid extra folder-opening clicks for the user's most commonly accessed features.

This would be a user-specific personalization feature.

Thanks!

Thanks for your feedback Not planning any enhancements to outlook client. I am not sure if this is even applicable any longer

Thank you for your feedback. Because of a high bug bar we would unfortunately not be able to hand it in this release. As documented by Rob, there is a work around that would suit this need. We will definitely consider a seamless process in our upcoming releases.

Hi. I have used the work around since the initial release of CRM 2011. Unfortunately I am seeing more and more reluctance from customers to support registry alterations. I have just been asked why the Outlook Client cannot open the Dashboards page on initial selection of the CRM Organization link. A link in the favorites area would be a great option if the ability returned. Hope this keeps getting up votes. Thanks
