The new over-pick functionality added in BC26 was much needed and long-awaited although it does not cover a key and important scenario which would be the most common usage.

Currently over-picks are designed purely to allow to over-pick a component in the case you may consume more of that component than expected on a particular production order and any left over quantity returned using a warehouse movement.

However in reality if multiple production orders are using the same component then a box quantity may be picked for the first production order and then used for subsequent production orders. To support this, when creating a warehouse pick for a production order this should consider the quantity already in the shop floor bin (not assigned to production orders) and not create a pick if there is sufficient quantity already in the bin.
