Purchase requisition workflow is a great feature to track the approvals, however, this would be nice if we have a facility to 'request for information (RFI)' which enables the approvers to send the PR to concerned person for adding more information (such as additional comments, attachments, etc.).

This is different from the existing 'Request change' facility because 'request change' will only be sent to the PR preparer and once the preparer does required changes and submits back, it would reach the person who initiated the 'request change'.

Whereas RFI feature will have a freedom the request information to any user in the ERP and helps us track entire approval cycle within the workflow, which otherwise would require extensive tracking through emails and phone calls. The person who receives RFI cannot make approval decisions (unlike delegation feature), but he can submit back the PR with required info or pass it on to other person for more info.

Hope MS would consider this request and improve the PR approval workflow.
