1. Creating a performance review should include a concept of "due date"
2. When an employee's performance review is created, system should be able to alert an employee (via workflow or via email alert) that the performance review is created and ready for them to take action.
3. Employee's manager should also be able to be alerted that the review is created, along with the due date
4. System should provide ability to send alerts when a review is past due, including to the manager as well as to another individual (HR personnel) if appropriate.

I agree, the due date field and notifications to employee/manager when the due date is past will be a great feature.
We had the same requirement from client, and we achieved this through custom field and Power Automate.
