Currently in Business Central, G/L account category are not editable, it refers to fixed values in the code of the software.
It should be interesting to be able to modify or to translate G/L account category in order to build relevant financial statements according to G/L account category descriptions used on each local country.

I may also point out that the translation for German localization is wrong. So if we could translate ourselves it would be helpful.

Totally agree! I assumed that categorizing G/L is common sense. Unfortunately, country/user specific needs cannot be made when those top/base categories are hard-coded and do not follow any global (or regional) rules (like IFRS)
