* The current behavior which does not meet the business requirement:
- When user turn on "Offline Sync" option, they will be put in the Offline mode and cannot perform real-time task in the Field Service mobile app.
- But if users turn off "Offline Sync" option to be in the Online mode, and they suddenly lose the network connection or move to a no-network area, the app will not automatically switch to the Offline mode and users cannot continue with their tasks.

*Propose for a future upgrade:
- Please let "Offline Sync" as an option for users to download and sync up their data from the cloud while they are working in the Online mode
- The Field Service mobile app now can automatically switch between Online and Offline mode based on the network connection of the user's device.

Hi guys

I have also voted this post and waited for a long time.

I personally contacted support and found out that they can handle my request under the name Classic Offline Mode.

It seems that Power Apps was already implemented around February 2023.

The specific operation is that users can switch between online and offline at their discretion.

In addition, even if you suddenly lose the Internet, you can still use applications without having to switch voluntarily. In addition, automatically updated information will be placed in a pending state and will be synchronized to the server side when you return online.

We have already moved this feature into production and are using it successfully.

100ï¼… Agree

Current Offline mode has alot of limitation like delete function is not available, search is also limited.

The development team has been considering it for two years, so we expect to see some great features implemented.

Fully agree with the comments from Kamil Kowalczyk - the ability for individual users to swiftly change btw online and offline mode is critical.

It is a huge limitation as users mostly use online mode, but sometimes they need to offline mode (if they don’t have internet connection). Why do we need to use offline mode even if we have internet connection? Due to that, users need to sync manually each time (or automatically every 5 minutes) to see any changes from server-side logics e.g., plugins / actions / flows / workflows even if they have internet connection.

We understand that this solution improve performance (working in offline mode) but our basic functionalities won't work properly comparing to the Resco App. Moving all logics from server - side to client - side (JavaScript) will take too much effort. We can't accept such solution.

Please add possibility to use both online and offline mode to make it work like in the Field Service Mobile (Xamarin App) from Resco.

I stand corrected! IoT is working beautifully in offline!

This feature is a must-have for customers moving from Resco App.

Microsoft currently recommends using Offline Profiles at the same time these profiles prevent an organization from using existing features like Internet of Things.

I've noticed users can cancel the download and it seems to allow user to work online. Is this an acceptable workaround?

Yes, it should be easy for mobile users to just have a button that says online / offline mode.

An issue we have observed is the app using online data even when the data bandwidth available is exceptionaly low, but offline data is available. If offline data is available then in my opinion it should be used to keep response speeds high for users regardless of data bandwidth available at that moment.

Agree!

Offline mode needs to be more convenient for usage, allowing proactively switching Online and Offline.
