For photos and videos, there should be a "frame" around the area that will be recorded. This way you can center the item you wish to take a picture or video of and ensure it is centered. The lens sits differently on everyone. Have had to retake images again and again to ensure that the entire area was captured and not cut off.

This should be able to be turned on/off as needed.
