Currently, Dynamics 365 requires stock to be reserved on the sales order before it can be released to an externally managed warehouse. This creates limitations for customers who do not want to reserve stock in the sales legal entity and prefer the external warehouse to handle stock allocation.

Add an option to release sales orders to externally managed warehouses without requiring reservations, or allow the external warehouse system to determine the quantity. This would give customers more flexibility and better support real warehouse processes.
