After enabling server based SharePoint integration, most of the metadata is missing from the SharePoint documents. For e.g.: the document type field, the date field are missing from the SharePoint documents in CRM 2013 online organization after enabling server based SharePoint integration.

we do not bring any sharepoint metadata. I am not sure I understand the scenario here. Are you losing SP metadata on documents. The document is still stored in SP. If you are having any issue, please file a support issue.

It looks like this has been on the books for about 3 years.  Is there any movement to get this issue resolved?

Thank you for your feedback. This is a known issue, and we will consider this in our roadmap as we continue to improve CRM's SharePoint integration.

The custom entities which were created on SharePoint site were viewable on CRM 2013 before server based SharePoint integration. However, post that those custom entities cannot be displayed in the CRM online organization. Also, manually we can try to add few columns and views with the help of customizations.. But, still much of the data is impossible to add. Microsoft should take into considerations these points.

at least the old functionality of the old list component should have been in the new integration. there is no way to display or edit custom sharepoint collumns/fields like it was before. at least you should be able to add fields to the sharepoint-doc-entity and to edit them directly in the edit-popup. so far you can only change the title. and in general: if microsoft is telling the people to switch to something new they should at least inform you before what functionality you will loose. or provide a way to go back to the old list component.

Before enabling server based integration, customers were able to view all the columns in CRM organization which they had created in SharePoint. But, post integration we are unable to view all the data in CRM. With the help of some customizations and by editing views and columns we can manage to add some data in CRM. However, we cannot add entire data by following this procedure.
