The ability to filter by dimensions before calculating the trial balance is a much-requested feature amongst our clients.

This is a requirement for the Trial balance. This is a functionality in D365 Business Central and clients moving form BC to D365 Finance are always (unpleasantly) surprised by the speed in which Trial balances are run. Applying a filter in advance would hopefully help with the Trial balance performance and User friendliness, as users are often trying to validate a section of the TB not the entire thing.

Can you confirm if this request is in regards to general ledger trial balance or financial reporting?
Currently this is not in our roadmap; however, we are tracking it and if we get more feedback and votes, we may consider it in the future.
