Allow Default production finished goods location to be non LP controlled

When you select a location that is not license plate controlled in the field "Default production finished goods location" in the warehouse master, you get an error message that says "Location must be License plate controlled".


However, if you select one that is LP controlled, and then deactivate the LP controlled changing for example the location profile for that location, you're able to proceed and even RAF a production order with no problem in that non LP location.


So the message when setting us the location makes no sense as the flow is posible. That error message "Location must be License plate controlled" should be removed.

Hi Fredrik, Your statement is not correct, because not every company is using license plates for every product. Sometimes it's only applicable for the inbound process.

This also is true for Receipt locations. I see the point that you need a LP, because that is needed to print labels. Also it is much easier to use LP to move pallets or complete put away procedures from locations with multiple pallets.

I really hope that the product team will consider this as a requirement. The error message is not relevant due the fact that you can store always products without license plate when license plate tracking is not active on the location profile or when "Blank receipt/blank issue allowed" is active on the storage dimension group.
