In the Business Central web client, the Available Companies flyout is always sorted by the internal Company Name field. This causes issues for organisations that use the Name field for technical or integration purposes and rely on the Display Name for clarity and user navigation.

Users who work across many companies often struggle to locate the correct company quickly because the alphabetical sort is based on the internal Name, not the Display Name they actually see on pages and documents.

Please add one or more improvements:

Allow sorting by Display Name instead of Name.

Allow users to customise the order, for example by drag-and-drop.

Allow pinning favourite companies to the top.

Provide filters or grouping options.

Provide a Recently Used section.

This improves usability for organisations with many companies, such as multi-country groups, shared-service centres and customs or logistics operations. It reduces navigation time and avoids forcing partners to rename technical Company Names purely to influence the UI.
