I would like the ability to restrict based search of products via attributes in the Product by Category List Page. And also during Sales Order and Quotation creation Process. We know many Customers who want to search for products according to their characteristics (Material, Diameter, Length, Width, ISO-Norm, etc.).

More specifically, we need to be able to search a product based on one or more of its attribute(s), wherever these attributes are generated through the Procurement hierarchy, the Commerce hierarchy or any other one.
Moreover, even if this functionality does exist with Engineering products, we don't want customer to implement engineering products only to have this feature

Urgently needed! One of our biggest issues is the ability to reliably find parts during quotation and order entry. Currently the specs for a part are stored in the description and searched via text search. This is cumbersome. We can store part specification as product attributes but without the ability to search for products by attribute this is not very useful.
