For BC20.4 and BC21 preview we recognized an unexpected behavior in role center.

Hello Team,


The below happens for each Action Group, also for „Finance “, „Cash Management “, „Sales“etc.


If you pin navigation bar in role center as „BUSINESS MANAGER EVALUATION “, The first tab in the bar is "General Journal". That page opens up automatically when you pin the navigation bar.


But if you pin the navigation bar on normal pages, no action will be performed – The first tab (General Journal) will not open automatically, only navigation bar gets pinned.


So, why is the first action in the group of the navigation bar is performed when you pin the navigation bar?


This happens in 20.4, v21.x - Preview environments and the same behavior was not observed on previous versions or in v20.5.

Thank you for the feedback! BC v16 introduced the top navigation pane and the behavior of when the user pins it. The intention is to maintain that the pinned tab is always representative of the current list the user sees. For this reason, when the user pins a tab different from the current one, the view updates to show the first list in that tab. Best regards, Business Central Team

This functionality should be consistent on all pages. Clicking an image of a thumbtack shouldn't be opening list views.
