It is currently possible to add a fieldgroup (Dropdown, for example) in an extension in a new table or to add fields to an existing fieldgroup for a core table, but it isn't possible to add a fieldgroup to a core table that doesn't have one already defined at all.
I think we must be able to modify an existing fieldgroup in order to adapt to the customer needs.
Related to this issue, I think that it woult be interessting to remove or mark as not visible fields from the base table fieldgroup.
For example, the Customer table has the fieldgroup "No.", Name, City, "Post Code", "Phone No.", Contact.
It might produce search confusions if there are any customer with a surname of a text that is the city of another customer.
In these case we would like to remove the city from this fieldgroup.
