With Version 10.0.9 "direct printing" was introduced as new option/destination type "print" within the reporting destinations of electronic reporting. However the functionality seems to be limited as follows: - Only one printer can be setup per report configuration! - There is no option to have different printers settings per report, which is an essential common requirement! - There is no option to define the number of print outs if e.g. a document is required to print with 2 copies! Those limitations most probably result from the fact that the standard print management settings are not passed to the using destination of the ER framework (if the new "print" destination type is used)? And the ER framework is not ready to accept requests, like e.g. different printer setups based on conditional queries and the creation of different number of copies! Suggested and required improvements: Either utilize the standard printer setup to its full extend also in combination with the "print" destination type in ER reporting destinations or enable similar functionality to be setup in the ER print destination configuration form!

Additional idea could be overriding as a custom destination for further usage for the email destination type. Currently you cant overriding as a custom destination for further usage.

Only one email destination can be setup per report configuration! - There is no option to have different email settings per a report, which is an essential common requirement!

Proposing additional CBD/ER Destinations enhancements to this idea:
- "Preview"-buttons should only trigger "Screen" and "File"(?) destinations for CBD reports
- Don't for throw error/warning message when email address is not found. Should be possible to turn off the warning/error if you only expect to send emails according to the customer contact information(eg. purposes).
- Instead show message when email(s) are successfully sent
- Create a log or archive of the generated print destinations to avoid mistakes of duplicate send-outs to external parties

As also NIkolay Selin from Microsoft recommended, I would like to add another topic to this idea that I came across when I was testing ER reporting destinations with E-mail output and E-Mail template integration!

Here I I have found another issue concerning print management with reporting destinations:

If an E-Mail reporting destination has been setup for a CBD (Configurable business document) and the user is selecting the "original preview" option under invoice journals document view it works in a way that also for already created invoices the report is send again per E-mail to the customers (e.g. business purpose ) e-Mail address.

However I think that is not really good or expected behavior with that "preview button" and could lead into problems, if you send invoices again and again to customers. I would have expected to get the screen preview here!?

With the "use print management" option I got the e-mail sent, too and that would be okay in my opinion, but if the user clicks on document views > "original preview" I would expect that I get a screen preview only.

Is there any way to control that differently or how should the individual D365 FO User open a preview of an invoice if he can not use this button when electronic report with reporting destination e-mail is setup? I think it cannot be on purpose to always resent e-mails when clicking on "preview" buttons

For example, it could be enabled the possibility to change ER destination when an ER format is called by using the 'original preview' option. Like it happens now when you post a proforma invoice with printing.

Please consider direct print destinations for utf-8 Text and XML GER configuration formats - required for label printing scenarios where labels are prepared as ZPL II text. No translation to PDF is needed, text content must be set to a printer destination without any conversion.
