Hey everyone, I’ve got an idea to improve how notifications work in Business Central, especially for workflow approvals. Here’s the suggestion and why it’s a win for both users and consultants:

What’s the Issue & Solution:

  • The Challenge: After system updates or patches, customized workflow approval email notifications often stop working. This leads to missed approvals and client escalations.
  • The Solution: Centralize all notifications (including custom workflows) in the Bell Icon located in the top-right corner of the action bar, next to the Settings icon on the Role Centre page. This icon is always reliable and visible to users.
  • The Benefit: Users can easily access all notifications in one place, open the related documents directly from the Bell Icon, and take necessary actions promptly. This makes notifications more actionable and reduces the risk of missed approvals.


Benefits:

  • No More Missed Alerts: User always see approvals and other notifications in the Bell Icon, even after updates—no more email failures slowing you down.
  • Work Faster: Click a button like “Approve Now” directly from the notification to complete tasks in seconds, boosting your productivity.
