Currently, If we have production order of 10 and we only release/start 5, D365FO reserves the inventory for the entire production quantity which is 10, inspite of releasing/starting only a partial quantity of 5.

This causes a lot of additional inventory to blocked and it cannot be used for other manufacturing happening in the plant. If leads to the users spending a lot of time in un-reserving each quantity, so that material can be consumed accurately across the warehouse.

NOTE: This scenario if applicable for a warehouse where Advance warehousing capabilities have been enabled.
