Allow Defaults to be Set for All Segments (not just those using a template)

An administrator should be able to set defaults that all segments must contain - whether they are created from a template or not. For example, "Do not email inactive contacts" should be a default that appears on all segments created.

Hello Elena,


If the previous solution doesn't work, I suggest adding the feature to create templated segments. This would be particularly useful for one of my clients, who has multiple business units that always require a few specific filters at the beginning of each segment. It would be great if we could create templates for each business unit or even for different types of emails or brands.

Hi Stephani,

thank you for submitting an idea! Setting defaults for all segments looks like a limiting condition (and sometimes confusing/misleading), as there might be segments of different types and, eg, not all of them are used for email sending (although this is a typical scenario, for sure).

Can you please elaborate further on your proposal? Which are the scenarios when using segment templates with preset conditions is not sufficient?
