We are requesting an enhancement to the current configuration for discount pricing where D365 would:
1) Calculate the total requested quantity for the sales line at regular price
2) Apply any line discounts for the pallet tier amount(s) only
For example, we have a group of customers who receive a 5% line discount off the sales price if they purchase in pallet quantities. However, if the customer goes over the 1st pallet tier quantity but wants less than the next pallet tier quantity, we want to charge regular price for the additional cases but maintain the 5% discount for the pallet quantity.
Example - Pallet quantity is 100 cs for Item A. Customer requests 105 cs. Standard price is $10.00/cs.
105 cs @ $10.00/cs = $1,050.00
5% discount applied for 1 pallet (100*$10.00*5%) = ($50.00)
Unfortunately, we have not found any standard functionality currently in D365 to accommodate this requirement for both manual sales orders and EDI orders. The sales team states this is standard across the industry so we feel this could help other end-users as well. In turn, this would help with both our internal and external customer satisfaction by meeting these needs.
We appreciate being considered.
