Currently we don't have the option of adding custom attributes to the Task Grid and Open Details Dialog in the Task section in Project Entity. Generally we add custom attributes to address the business requirements and would nice to show them on the Task Grid and Open Details Dialog.

Having the option to add the lines to Task tab, for the materials that most customers demand; highly likely would bring in customer satisfaction!

This is the biggest ask from ALL CUSTOMERS!

Remember that almost all companies are coming from Excel sheets that they customized with Macros and threw the key off.

I love the system, but customers don't like that Tasks is locked and that we cannot have expenses in there as well.

We need to include everything in those lines, including materials.

Has anyone figured out a workaround to add more columns to TASK within Project Operation App ?

Great Idea. Project for Web allows custom fields added to grid. Project Operations embed the project for web into task tab in iFreame style embed. We have custom fields in project task such as Task Type , Milestone / KPI. I haven't seen any new feature in Task Management part of Project Operations. I looked at the road map of releases as well. There is not significant feature enhancement in Task module of Project Operations after the launch.

This is great Idea. We have custom fields added to the task. The fields only shows in details screen. We would like to add the custom fields in Task grid. Project for Web recently allow to add custom column . Since Project Operation uses Project for web template in task grid, Ideally this should be available in Project Operation as well. Project Operation Team should consider this idea.

Agreed with this idea. Our users are already concerned about the need to add key OOTB columns manually for each project (namely the Effort column), and the ability to add custom attributes and configure the grid to show them by default would definitely improve our users' experience.
