It maybe nice to future feature the option to stop an item holiday date transaction from further transactioning from web and/or from point of sale terminals.

In Dynamics 365 Commerce HQ (back-office) on Released product details page, you can find setting under 'Commerce' fast tab called as "Blocked at register" and provide dates for the same.
