In Belgium we use commonly the keyboard language BEP (point). On this keyboard in the numeric pad, we use the ‘.’ key as a decimal separator. In all applications (RTC/Excel) this is accepted and when you use it, you receive a ‘,’ sign.
By using the webclient, we can’t use the decimal-seperator-sign to register numbers. We are forced to work the the ‘,’-sign on the alphanumeric pad.

This is really a showstopper for many of our customers to migrate to the webclient. They risk to make mistakes in the input of new documents.

Some additional context. We’re aware of the current regional settings issues (reported via the Yammer groups in August ’19)

However, the statement that this topic will not be addressed as a typical hotfix (mentioned on blog below) really worries us.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We have delivered this idea and made it available with Business Central in 2021 release wave 2.
Although Belgium is mentioned as the example in the Idea text, this shortcoming applies to keyboard layouts in many languages. We aspire to deliver one solution that addresses this for any country or region.
