We recently faced the situation of a trying to split a production order, and coming with a system error:

Function ProdUpdSchedulingMps_Extension.updateSchedule has been incorrectly called”

After reviewing it with MSFT Support, we realized that this was related to the feature "Feature Finite material scheduling for Planning Optimization" that was automatically enabled after updating to platform update 34.

The solution to avoid this blocking message was to disable the feature.

However, according to the feature's description, it should specially provides funcitonality to enable automatic scheduling of production orders based on material availability, ensuring that planned production orders are not delayed due to material shortage.

It is not ok that we need to disable this feature in order to avoid the production split function and scheduling generate the error.

This feature should work properly once enabled.

I do not understand why you need votes for this. This seems to be a bug that just needs to be fixed.
