When you create an e-mail from a document, the print counter of the document is increased immediately, although the mail dispatch process can still be canceled. Better: Increase the print counter only after sending the e-mail and handle the e-mail like the print preview (field "No. printed" in Sales Header, Purchase Header...).

Thank you for your feedback. We are not considering the suggestion at this time due to unrelated nature of printing and emailing.

When document gets attached to draft email generated by Business Central, document actually gets "printed" to PDF, hence the increase of No. Printed.

Increasing No. Printed after email is actually being sent does not sound right as sending of the email is handled by email provider and we have not clear indication whether email was actually delivered.

I'd propose looking at email logging functionality (run Assisted Setup for Set up Email Logging), which will in turn automatically create interaction log entries when email is successfully delivered by email provider (Exchange Server or Exchange Online)
