I would be very useful if list pages contain some kind of a record counter.
My opinion is that should be integrated in to the platform.

Also include the same in ListParts. When listparts are collapsed, some fields can be promoted. Adding a 'Number of records' fields to the Promoted fields would give more context on collapsed fasttabs (if / how many records are linked)
