In short, it appears that goal's based on a money field cannot use the alternate currency. They always update into the base currency value.
This is a big issue and renders goals unusable without custom code for multi-currency orgs.

I also agree. We work in many European countries and our salespeople and managers ofcourse want to see their goal numbers in their own currency. This is a becoming a real problem for us right now.

Totally agree that goals are not usable when all goals are entered in the base currency
Goals should be entered in the Goal Owner's currency
