We have identified that it is possible to perform dimension correction after a period has been closed in the system. Since our financial reporting is heavily reliant on dimensions, this raises a potential internal control issue. The ability to modify post-period close could lead to inconsistencies in our financial data and impact the integrity of our reports and we are suggesting that the possibility to correct the dimensions should be blocked once that period is closed on the system.

The Dimensions Correction should only be possible for G/L Entries with a posting date, that is within the Allow Posting From / Until dates, set up in the General Ledger Setup or the User Setup Page. The logic should be the same as for booking.
