Hello Team,

It’s quite concerning that super-user customers are unable to view their data through SQL in production environments, particularly when the issue is related to third-party or customization.

We recently experienced a deployment failure on WE PROD due to duplicate values. When we raised the issue with Microsoft, they informed us that the duplicate values were in a custom table, and therefore, they couldn’t assist or provide further information. This is particularly troubling, especially considering the possibility of having more than 2-3 million records.

I would like to understand how Microsoft plans to assist in critical situations like this, where customers need access, or at least read-only access, to their own data. If Microsoft cannot provide the necessary information for custom/ISV tables and customers are left without access to the production database, who is responsible for helping resolve these types of issues?

I’m uncertain who designed or made the decision to handle things this way, but could we please explore solutions to enable customers to investigate such issues?

I’m open to a discussion with Microsoft to address various scenarios.

BR,

Anil Chauhan
